Color of the City
- Painting from day to night
2017
200 x 750cm cement paint on paper
In 2017 series, “Color of the City” is a big paper painting measuring about 200cm*750cm. It’s an arrangement of gray of various values. The transition is gentle and fluid. When looked from afar, it seems to be a flashing gradient painting; when inspected closely, the painting presents itself as a large number of color chips research. I think the major color of the city comes from the concrete building, so I project my impression of the city into a combination of grayish hues. Thus, I assume when viewers are looking at this giant piece of gray scale, it will be just like standing between the cement buildings in the city.
